To keep wood materials out of landfills while partnering with local businesses to provide functional furniture to those in need as well as creating custom, hand-crafted furniture.
I am here to make an impact. I strive to help my fellow New Mexicans live their best lives through outreach, education and donation.
It started early. I can remember learning how to use basic tools at around 7 years old with my older brother, who is now an engineer (and helped to design the LTW logo). We liked to build bike ramps mostly. I kept rebuilding them trying to get the perfect angle for entry as well as lift. That work ethic stuck with me as I entered my main calling, music.
At about that time, I started to play the trumpet, mostly because my grandfather did. We would always play duets together, and that time was very special to me. As I pursued my passion in music, later my job, I carried the work ethic I learned from building with my brother. The two disciplines are very similar in my mind: work with focus and attention to detail to create something precise, functional, and beautiful. One is visual and one is aural, but both ignite the same parts of my brain. As I create in both sound and wood, I find myself in a meditative state.
As I said, I am a professional musician in a number of orchestras and performing ensembles in New Mexico. As if on purpose, life sent me a curve ball in 2020 and took ALL my work away. I found myself asking the question, "How can I contribute to my community now?" Longer Table Woodcrafters is what emerged. I hope you enjoy my story and can appreciate how our products are helping to make the world a better place.
Sincerely,
Brynn Marchiando
